Claimìng to be Social Security

I called them back and this was the social security office. I initiated the call by claiming my social security benefits. This was the social security and they did ask me to callback on a toll free number that was an 866 number. I did file for my benefits yesterday and he confirmed that I initiated the callback.

Social security doesn’t call. I watched a scam program from them. They said they will never call. You get a letter from them. They called but I don’t answer calls I don’t recognize. And they didn’t leave a message. Social security would have. So to the “social security worker” you are incorrect. And probably a scammer as well. Shame on all scammers. You should know better. They don’t call you.

This is the second call I have received from "social security".I got in contact with the real social security who said they had not called me and that to be careful of scams regarding social security, even if the caller ID says it's them. They are not doing any calls right now.

This number called my mom in arkansas and stated that medicare was going to take $100 out of her ssi check each month. The number (570) 831-1296. It is a scammer.
