Left a message stating that I should call back at the "IRS Direct Hotline" for information on my tax evasion case. The phone he left was the 571 number that he called from. Has anyone called it back to see what he says or asks for? I wonder if we can get a recording of his request and use it to report him...?

They've called twice a day over the last few days. I blocked them from my phone so it goes directly to voice mail, but they leave a voice mail. Need to figure out how to completely block them.

I don't quite remember but it's scary--It's a recording and this guy has some kind of accent and I think his name is Officer Miller. He tells you that you are the focus of something like an FBI investigation. It's very creepy. I've blocked it on my cell, but someone needs to stop this caller.

Said it was Officer Melvin Bedcheck or something like that. Said there was a tax fraud filing against me. Complete BS.

Just received a call from "Officer Miller", Indian Accent, same info. as what others above received... there will be a warrant for my arrest because of tax fraud...blah, blah, blah... It seems like ever since I added my numbers to the "Do Not Call" Registry I have gotten & continue to get these spam calls... Wish there was a way to catch all these idiots making these types of calls and put an end to this... It's gotten to the point I don't answer a call I don't recognize, but what if one of those calls was from my kid who needs my help and they can't call from their phone... These criminals need to stop harassing good people!

Same "Officer Miller" call claiming to be an IRS agent with info on a tax fraud warrant for arrest that is going to be processed. Info was left on voice mail. Heavy east Indian accent. Smells of pure fraud/scam since information is sketchy and just trying to scare. Waiting for another call.

We received several calls from this number in the past couple of weeks. Calller ID indicates "Name unavailable". Asked him who is calling and he mubled something I could not understand and hang up. I honestly don't know why he called.

Just received a call from a guy claiming to be Matthew Jones, a revenue officer from the IRS, claiming I owe back taxes of $5200. He gave me his Badge Number as #992584. He had a heavy eastern Indian accent. I asked why I never received anything by mail, and he said that IRS officers came to my home to inform me that I wsd guilty of "tax evasion" and that they be never send this information via a lette, but rather they come for you in person for matters of tax evasion. Then he started asking me if I have children. I said "You should know that if you have copies of my tax returns." He then asked for my birthday. I gave him the same answer -- my birthday is on my return or can be discerned from my SSN. After further B.S?, he said he would check into the matter further and call me back,

Have been getting calls from this number for a few days. I called back and a guy with heavy accent tells me that I will be arrested for not paying taxes in the amount of $6,000. this is definetly a scam! I work in a law firm and know for a fact if the IRS has an issue with you they will send you a letter in the mail. If you get a call from this number do not give any personal information.

Second call in 2 wks.from someone with a heavy middle eastern accent claiming to be an IRS agent, even calling himself "Officer Miller". Says a warrant has been issued by the IRS for tax fraud and to have my attorney call this number as soon as possible to avoid further prosecution. SCAM! IRS will NEVER call you but will notify of issues by MAIL.
