They have called me claiming malicious software downloaded to my computer, and if I dont get it off its going to get worse, but if I give them access to my computer, they can fix it. TOTAL SCAM!! My wife works for a bank and has all the security protection available on this computer...
DO NOT FOLLOW ANY OF THEIR DIRECTIONS OR HONOR ANY REQUESTS FROM THESE PEOPOLE!!!!!
LOL I had the best phone call with these clowns, he calls and says that he is getting messages from my computer of malicious activity LOL. So I ask him to tell me my IP Address if this is the case, he responds 192.168.1.1 LOL Im like really? Thats not the IP address you would get thats a private IP (not to mention a router/gateway IP at that), you would get something public most likely, then he freezes LOL. He continues to ask me to go to my computer and press windows key + r, I informed him that if he wanted me to open a CMD prompt all he had to do was ask LOL He was a determined little scammer though, he then proceeded to instruct me to type in eventvwr in CMD prompt to which i interrupted before he could finish that i was not going to open my event viewer and give him any info of any kind. He then laughs and asks me if I was a computer tech, and I told him YES and with a SECURITY BACKGROUND too, he then starts to ask me about where I work, I informed him they do not employ scammers, or outsource any work out of the country. ROFL! Im going to call these guys back when im bored!!
One of many numbers calling me claiming to be from Microsoft and that my computer needs worked on. I keep telling them to take me off their list and I've turned them into the FTC.
