omg! ive got a phone call from that Amanda too, na dsaying that i owe a bank an dneeds to be paid right away or ill be summoned. then they keep calling back with different number. so this is definitely a scam then

I had a phone call yesterday from a girl name Amanda who said she was with Kirkland Lewis and Associates in Pennsylvania. She proceeded to say that I had a collection bill from 2014 from a bank which I know for sure that I am not affiliated with, that I had an unpaid overdraft fee and it was sent to collections and now to a lawyers office and I am being summoned. She also said if I wanted to avoid going to court that I could avoid that if I would pay 500.00 before 2pm the next day, and payment had to be made by debit card only. I advised the girl that I would call back tomorrow after researching the company. I called back and tried to ask the boy on the phone what the company's website was the stupid unknowledgeable person hung up on me. I called back and asked to speak to Amanda at 585-207-0809, but it kept going to a voicemail. I called back again and the boy that answered the phone, proceeded to stumble over his words because he could not provide me with a website of the company. He then yelled out to who the hell ever that was sitting in the same room ( very unprofessional, especially for someone who claims to work for a law firm ), "oh, this person is asking for a website." Overall, I advised the person that I will contact my lawyer and the policed will be notified.
