(585) 294-4124 Robo call recorded 17 March 2018 (Solar panel sales call thinly disguised as a "stop an Electric rate increase Public Service Announcement" HA!) SCAM

Robo call announcement opening with an outright lie that the call "...is a Public Service Announcement regarding your electricity bill...press 1 now to stop the rate increase..." but you are put through to a solar panels sales team.

Their call insults our intelligence on many levels, including their "shotgun" approach to making mass phone calls, hoping to find a few people who are interested in solar panels, and their total disregard of the Do Not Call regulations certainly tells us a lot about their business ethic, doesn't it?

Following is a transcript of the voicemail they left when I was not available to take their insulting, automated, intrusive and unwanted robo telemarketing call:

[female voice:] "An urgent public service announcement regarding your electricity bill. Recent legislation has allowed your electricity provider to raise your electricity bill up to 14 percent in the coming months. If you are a homeowner and pay more than 100 dollars per month for electricity press 1 now to stop the rate increase immediately. This will prevent you from losing thousands of dollars in the coming years. You must be a homeowner paying more than $100 per month for electricity to qualify. Press 1 now to stop the rate increase. This program is part of the Department of Solar Energy Efficiency and going solar with no cost out-of-pocket to qualified participants. Press 1 now and if we contacted you an error and you want to be removed from the list press 3 to be taken off the list and never be called again."
