These people prey on seniors. BEWARE!

They charge 500 bucks for estate planning. That would be like going into some securites dealer and paying 500 bucks for a sales call or for them to sell you their products.

Would you pay a salesman at a place like Best Buy 500 dollars for the privilage of having a sales person selling you a tv? That's what it amounts to LOL!

have been getting calls from 586-283-3000 for about six years. The times that I have answered the phone, they want to drop coupons, etc off, and want to know when I will be home. Other times they leave no message, and I can't reach them on the above number.

"Not a Charity Case" who left this message on another forum saying this in regard to the caller: "America's Professional Services Assn is located at 6900 Miller Drive in Warren, MI 48092 and their phone # is (586) 939-3810.

I called Americas's Professional Services Assn. number, and Hellen, a nice lady answered the phone, wanting to direct my call. When I said I wanted to talk to someone in their company to ask them if they use a certain telephone number, Hellen said "Is this about 283-3000? I said yes, and she transferred me to the marketing department, where I left my name and number on their answer machine. I called Hellen back and asked for the President of the company. Got another answering machine, and left my name and number to call me back.

I called Hellen back and asked to speak to a human being. She trasferred me, and VOILA!, I got Mr. Richard James, the president of the company.

Mr. James was very polite, and said he does not know all of the 300 telephone numbers his company uses.
I mentioned that Hellen knew the number, and he said something to the effect that if Helen knows it, it must be their number.

I have to admit that I was VERY HOT about this, and both Hellen and Mr. James were polite.

I described my problem with their company not leaving a message on my answering machine, and being unable to call them back on their outgoing-only number.

Mr. James said he would take me off of their calling list.

I said if he really cared about his company, and the negative impression his marketing calls were having, he should google 586--283-3000, and see for himself.

Perhaps others would like to contact the president Mr. James directly at 586-939-3810 to have thier numbers removed from his list.

I have copied and reposted this for everyone..found it on page 12! So everyone please RECOPY and EVERYONE CALL THESE IDIOTS!! Merry Christmas to these IDIOTS!! LMAO!

They are America's Professional Services Association. I had them come over and they dropped off literature. I looked at it. It wasn't going to do me any good, since I'm unemployed and broke. They called to follow up. I asked them to take off their list.

Since then, they called several times. Every time that I answer, I get "Sorry wrong number" and they hang up before I can reply. I can only guess that when I answer my computer file pops on their screen and they know it is a waste of their time. They must use blind dialing.

Someone called our home and spoke to my husband who has dementia problems and set up an appt to come to our house while they are in the area -- on Tuesday 1-4-11 to speak to him about what medical supplies his insurance will cover. I immediately questioned the call and tried to redial without a response. I was livid as I will not be home at the planned time. I called our current medical supply company who denied any affiliation with that call or the number. They also know to deal with me on the medical equipment they provide. 12-29-10 at 2:36 was when the phone call came in. ------ Husband was lead to believe it was the company he always deals with through our doctor......... Upon investigating the phone number, I came across this web site, thus I am filing a complaint and am concerned about this situation..and their scheduled appt at our home.

Call them back at 800 898-8282 and tell them to stop calling you. They prey on seniors, selling overpriced, under-performing medical, financial and insurance products.

They will not talk to you unless you agree to let a salesman into your home to "drop off a binder of special offers" -- just say 'no' and find legitimate professionals to help in these areas.

They claim to be a non-profit. Non-profit simply means they turn all the available cash into executive bonuses at the end of each year, so no money is carried over to January 1.

Scam. Ripoff.

This is America's Professional Services Association. You can call them at 800 898-8282 and tell them to stop calling you. You might get voicemail -- just keep calling back and Monica will answer. Every time their voicemail picks up they get billed, so call early, call often.

I asked them to stop calling 3 months ago after the last round of their crap, and they called me back again today. I've found a report from another annoyed callee with the same story, so they might still call you again later.
They claim to be a non-profit, but they clearly sell products.

I have also received several calls from this same number. They say they are American Professionals and ask if you will be home on a certain day because they want to deliver a binder full of special discounts for 50-80 year olds. I called the number and like others who received calls, there is no answer. I searched the internet and per the white pages ( http://phones.whitepages.com/586-283-3000 ) found that (586) 283-3000 a Warren, Michigan number is leased by:
