This number called my Deceased husband's phone number stating they were the IRS, recording stated that there was an open case. When I called back to explain that he was deceased, he said I must be wrong. Interesting I was there holding his hand when he passed, and I was wrong that he was not gone. I told him if he truly was the IRS they would know, since Social Security had already been called, the day after he passed. The man could barely speak English, and sounded like they were in a call center.
