For the prerecorded and live calls, they lead you to believe that it is your own credit card company and that you must move quickly or something could happen to your credit... this is your last chance to consolidate type thing.

The company claims to be able to lower your credit card rates if you owe more that 5 thousand dollars in credit card debit. The company also claims it is your last chance to take advantage of this special offer.

Pre-recorded message, saying it is Anne from account services, can lower my credit card interest rate. I have also received calls with a different message, telling me to wait, please don't hang up, we can lower your interest rate. Also have started getting calls from Discover card services, however the live person you get after the call is connected is always the same, only gives a first name, asks me if I am responding to the offer to lower my interest rates on my credit cards, no specific card info given. Having tried to get info from them before, I have discovered they are fishing for your personal info, specifically credit card numbers and social security numbers, by casually asking me to 'verify these numbers', making it seem as if they have this info already.
