Arsenio called my house today looking for an individual that was known to me but not residing in my home. I found him to be very polite and professional. He is an investigator doing his job. As in this case, if people dealt with their problems before it reached the point that he is involved they could prevent the so called harrassment. I would venture to guess that none of the people that commented on this post contacted the police because they have avoided the problem and are guilty of not responding to previous correspondence regarding their cases. Not the investgators fault.

You need to send a letter to them & tell them to stop calling you & it they want a statement other then what you have already told them subpeona you. Tell them if they do not stop calling you, you will file a harrassment suit. Then get a lawyer. Check with www.handel on the law.com for a referal for a local lawyer.
If you di not have one get a cheap answering machine & use it to screen all your calls or get a private unlisted phone number.
They need to send you a letter to ask what they want to know or leave you alone. Once you receive their questions in writing you can answer, with your lawyers permission or tell them to stop calling.

No you don't have to ever talk to a private detective or a lawyer. In fact, you don't ever have to talk to a real police detective (5th Amendment to the US Constitution.). If he continues to harass you, tell him you are going to contact the police if he doesn't leave you alone and they will jerk his license. Also you might need to have the police enact a protection order against the bf mom so that if she continues to harass you, she can be arrested for violating the order. If you weren't involved in the accident, there is no need for them to hound you. As far as the legal stuff is concerned, you have nothing to worry about until a summons to court arrives and then just tell the truth when you are asked to testify. If the police have left you alone about it, then you really can rest easy.

In response to the post written by Mr. AZ, I cannot surmise why you failed to file an complaint with a local law enforcement agency. Since I am licensed as a private investigator for over 29 years, and my personal and business reputation is beyond reproach maybe this is the reason. Also, my work whether in the office or field is not considered not to have any criminal intent maybe another reason any local, state or federal agency was not contacted by you (whoever you are) to investigative any wrong doing on my behalf. Since. I am not a collector or work for a collection agency and not a process server you should be concerned about the nature of my business with you. The cases I investigate are being handled by my detective agency as criminal cases and worked as such with the possibility of felony charges being filed. I apologize for knocking on your door and please let your wife knows I am truly sorry, but she should be more afraid of the path you maybe traveling which could have a serious impact on your families life. To judge me and call me names, just demonstrates what a coward who hides behind a closed door deals with matters of importance. remember it is difficult to walk a straight line in crooked shoes. Also note I know who you are.......
