Wanted information about my travel plans from hotwire.com

Just had a situation last night where I called into Expedia for a complaint on advertisement and asked for a manager, none was available and the rep told me one would call me back. I received a callback from a gentleman named Mohammed at this number that is listed in this email scam complaint and he sat on the phone with me for 41 minutes trying to help me out. So I’m very confused. In convo he mentioned He was Working with Expedia for five years... so the call sounded legit but when I followed up with a call back to this number today, it was disconnected. I called the same 866 number and spoke to Expedia sales rep immediately after and they advised that there seems to be some sort of misunderstanding or scam going on but again why would he sit on the phone with me for 41 minutes? I do believe that maybe some of their calls are outsourced to a third-party company but the disconnection of the number is puzzling - not even 12 hours later. And I also see here it’s noted by other people that they’ve called back the number and it has been disconnected or a totally different business or residence ...

Something prone to confusion is going on here. I needed Expedia to change a reservation that couldn't be changed online, signed up to be called by their Customer Service, and quickly received a call from THIS number that turned out to be the requested legitimate call. (I just called the hotel directly to confirm, yes they had made the change they said they did.) Maybe this is a shop hired by Expedia and possibly others to front-end their customer service, but which suffers from occasional mix-ups or glitches? or maybe someone, knowing they're legit, is spoofing THEM...

Voicemail ID said it was Expedia that called while i was on hold with Expedia. When i called the number, the guy who answered said it was Firestone!

ID showed caller was Expedia. Woman said they had received a call from this number. Said I hardly think so and that I was on do no call list, not to call ever again. She hung up hard.

I just called that number back. It's been disconnected..

They just called. Saying we received a phone call from this number. Lol that's funny my phone has been broke... I told the lady I have no idea what your talking about. She hung right up... Why do people have to be like this

Just got a call saying he is calling from Expedia concerning "a change in my flight schedule for your upcoming flight". He started asking for personal information, to which I replied, "If you are really from Expedia, tell me my email address and itinerary number, and i will confirm or deny if you are correct". He refused to do so, saying he needed me to tell him this info to confirm that I am the person on the itinerary. Scammer, phishing for information. If they can access your account, they will contact expedia to get cancel your flight and have the refund (minus the cancellation fee) sent to them. ASSHOLES !

called about booking a reservation it was my personal cell phone number and I was driving told them I would call back and got "this is a non working number check the number again"

602-603-8018 was used by Hotels.com, when they called me back to inform me of fee charges they charged and should not have(after I ?'d them about the fees)
