They supposedly had information, time critical, information about my credit card account. ( Note that this is the first call of this type we've ever received on this cell phone )

The recorded message was offering to lower my credit card interest rate. It indicated that I should press 1 to connect to a live operator and when I did the operator identifier herself as being from "Credit Services." When I asked which credit card she was referring to the line disconnected.

CTR 277: The message did not specify which credit card they represented, but if I wanted to reduce the interest rates on my credit cards, I should press option 1.

Lowered interest rates on my credit card. Call did not specifiy which credit card, and caller did not identify self or company. Caller indicated this was my last opportunity to take advantage of lower interest rates. I was instructed to press one for further information. At that point I hung up.
