Reduced interest rate on credit cards. Once rep comes on phone they ask if you have over 'X' amt of debt. If you say anything other than yes..such as Do not call me or I'm on do not call list they hang up before you can finish the sentence. If you say yes to their question and the rep starts their script, they hang up if you start to say anything that doesn't answer their question.

Robo calls offering to lower the interest rates on my credit card. They want for me to press the option 1 to speak with a live rep or any other option to be removed. I have pressed both options and talk to a live person and when I requested for them to remove my number from their list the man said good bye and hung up on me.

I have received more than 500 "lower your credit card interest rate" calls on my unlisted - Do Not Call registered cell phone. They are now calling 4 to 5 times per day. These calls have been increasing ever since the FCC has taken action against the 9 robocall spammers.
Slapping them with a fine that they do not have to pay isn't going to deter them at all. You need to go after them in CRIMINAL court for the advance fee fraud and the identity theft.

Lower interest rate on American Express. They started with "Don't Hang UP" and claimed to be American Express. So I pressed '1' as instructed and got a live caller. Asked if she worked for American Express and she rudely said "We work WITH them and many others" and said she was calling from "Card Servies." I asked her to take me off her list and she yelled that it wasn't the complaint department and then hung up on me. I get these calls EVERY SINGLE DAY- always from a different number. When I try to call back, Verizon (my wireless carrier) says the number has been changed. I'm so tired of being hassled.
