This number has called twice and said they are suspending my social security number due to numerous complaints and suspicious activity on my number.
Left 2 messages saying he was officer Gail Stone from the Social Security Administration and because there was a "lot of strange activity on my social security number" they were going to cancel it unless I called immediately to this number. I did not call back.
I have received 4 calls and the same voicemail message 3 times today from this number. I called back from a number other than my own. The person who answered had a thick accent and said he was calling from South Dakota with the Social Security Office. He claimed to work for the Federal Government. When I asked him what the purpose of his call was he asked for the number I received his call on. I refused to give it to him but continued to ask about the work he does. When I told him that if they were the Social Security office they would send me information by mail, he went back to his script -- telling me that they had tried to deliver information to me twice by mail but I had not responded so they were going to take legal action. I reminded him that he doesn't even know who I am so the information he had just told me was not true, He then became very aggressive about taking legal action. I hung up.
First told me he was an officer from Soc. Sec. Admin then said he was drug enforcement. When I started to question him, the call was disconnected. I could here it was a large call center. He had a very heavy accent I could barely understand.
Said it was a Social Security Office in Houston Texas, but the person who answered sounded like they were in a large call center. The 'agent' seemed to have an Asian accent, possibly Chinese.
