The Association to jail people calling about police officers.
I asked the to make a donation to the cause so that scam callers will leave us all alone. Guy hung up fast.

I pick up the phone, then hang up. That's it. They get charged for the call.

Caller purported to be raising fund for families of officers killed or injured on duty. When I asked what percentage of the funds raised went to the "cause" vs. the percentage that went to the professional fund raisers. The response was "I've been instructed to say that a minimum of 10% of the funds raised go to the ..." at which point I stopped listening, said that was unacceptably low, and hung up. These people are NOT raising funds for a good cause. They are running a business.

Got a call today from this no., some recited appeal for cash supposedly for injured and disabled police officers.
The caller would not take no for an answer so I hung up. I called a few local officers here and no one ever heard of them. The call came at 1 PM on a Sun. The caller ID read A.F.P.O
Its no doubt a scam with a spoofed number. No real charity would call and insist on a payment and be that persistent, nor would they ask for financial info so I could make minimal payments. If it had sunk in at the moment that it was a scam call, I'd have lead him on till he gave up just for fun and to waste their time.

Sunday 11:45 AM. I did not answer. They left no message. I would not give to any organization, legitimate or not, that called on Sunday morning. Added to my block list.
