Female voice says before I face legal consequences I'm to call their number. Has to be a scam. The IRS doesn't call you on the telephone. If they want to contact your it will be by mail. She never mentioned my name or volunteered her name

Received recorded call saying it was Internal Revenue and that I had to call this number back to avoid serious consequences. Did not call back. I do not respond to numbers I do not recognize. Presume this is a scam.

I don't answer calls I don't recognize, but they left a voice mail. All that was recorded was the number repeated several times. The attorney general's office suggests that you not answer calls and let them leave a number (if they will). Good advice..
