I answered and it was a recoding stating they were Microsoft and it was urgent I knew that someone is hacking my computer and trying to steal my personal information. I yawned and hung up!

9/28/17. They just called, first part of recorded message was garbled but the rest was clear. Someone was trying to hack my Microsoft, I should call back or hit 1 to speak to an agent. At the end the voice said "thanks"...that was a dead giveaway that it was a scam.

Coming out of your computer. It seems to be someone is trying to hijack your computer and try to steal your personal information. If it's not fixed right away then your computer will become obsolete and all of your credential information may got compromised. JUST GOT A CALL ON MY HOME PHONE.... NEW IT WAS A SCAM RIGHT AWAY! GOT ON THE COMPUTOR RIGHT AWAY SEARCHED THE ADDRESS, CAME UP "CORTLAND NEW YORK" NOW IT'S TIME FOR THE FED'S TO DO THEIR JOB AND STOP THESE PEOPLE!! HOPE THEY BUST THEM ... SICK -O'S. TOLD ME I NEEDED TO CALL THEM RGHT AWAY SO THEY COULD FIX MY COMPUTOR. ALL THEY WANT IS YOUR INFO. DO NOT TALK TO THEM, DO NOT TELL THEM ANYTHING.

Just got a call on my cell AND my landline. Same Microsoft scam. This one was from Orlando (607-289-3811). If they would only work this hard at a legitimate job.
