These scam calls should be illegal and the callers prosecuted. I got similar message left on my voice mail; no I did not call back. And when theses calls come in and I accidently answer, my response to them is they have to call my computer security people and give them the number of the local police to call. I hope they do!

Just got a scam call from Smith Technologies 607-319-8426
Said my windows computer was being hijacked and these idiots could help. They represent themselves as providers to Microsoft and give you a fake number to call. What does concern me is I had a similar message when I was viewing a news story on Bing. I had to Alt/Control/Delete to escape. Ran a virus scan and computer was clean.

"Daniel" called and said with great urgency that someone was trying to hijack our computer and steal all our personal information. Said he was representing Microsoft Windows. I told him I'd call Microsoft on my own, and he gave me an (800) number (800.348.7205), which I did not use. I simply ran a scan from my own computer security company, and nothing was amiss. Computer voice stating that they are from Microsoft and they have evidence that someone is trying to hack into my computer. I wish it'd been a real person so that I would have had the pleasure of hanging up on them.

They claimed to be a tech support company and said that my credit cards had been compromised and that my windows operation system would shut down. Obviously a scam, but very annoying to receive none the less.

A recording saying they are from Micro Soft and suspected someone was trying to hack my computer to get my personal information. Asked that I call a number back but I hung up and they called right back this time a person on the phone asking how he could help me prevent a hack attack and wanted me to log on to my computer. I advised him, if he's legitimate he would know how he can assist me in preventing hacking since his recording says he had semi-evidence that my computer was under attack. The guy hung up.

Said they were from Microsoft,that my computer was being jacked. Low rent scum.

The same man, with an accent, calls constantly. He starts off like we are friends. He's called so many times I know what he's going to say. He not only knows but someone told him I have back pain. Once he insisted he knew I have back pain!! I keep hanging up....# 1-607-319-8426, from Ithaca, NY,
