THE DO NOT CALL LIST DIRECTOR SAYS THAT THE PUBLIC HAS TO TELL CALLERS NOT TO CALL OR SUE THEM.

wOULD LIKE THAT OPPORTUNITY BUT WASHINGTON OBAMA ADMINISTRATION DO NOT GIVE THE PUBLIC RESOURCES TO TAKE THAT ACTION.
WHY DO THEY EVEN HAVE JOBS AND TAKE TAXPAYER MONEY.

This is another spoofed number from "Card Member Services". While I knew it was a scam, I was hoping to get enough information to pursue legal action against them (I'm fed up with this company) so I pushed 9 to talk with a human being. As I was questioning him he at various times claimed he worked for:
Chase Bank
Card Member Services
Visa / Mastercard
Bank of America

He also claimed they were the organization that actually generates and mails my billing statements every month. (Btw - I don't have cards with any of the banks he named).

When I asked one more time for the actual name of the company he works for, he hung up on me. When I redialed the number it was disconnected, proving that this was a spoofed number.

It is now illegal for any company to do recorded calls to you without your consent. An attorney who specializes in this said to use the following 3 tests. If it passes at least 2 of the tests, it's probably a real company who is violating the law and can be tracked down. If it fails these tests, it's a complete scam - it's a waste of time to even attempt to do anything about them.
- Is it a live number? (Call it back - does it connect to that company?)
- Does the person who answers the phone identify the company?
- Is there a live company website?

Just got a call. I didn't answer, cuz I never answer mystery calls. They left no message, and as I can see from this site, it is nonsense.

My father in law got a call from this number and it asked him to wait to speak with someone for an important message. He waited and when someone came on the line immediately asked them to remove him from their list. They did not respond only hung up.

Same, "your credit card company" wanting to lower your interest rate to 6%, press 9 for more info. Didn't press it, don't believe it. If they were my credit card company they'd identify themselves with the company name. They don't know who my cards are with so they generalized it. Must be a scam.

Same as last comment - received a call from WI at 12:10 PM EST on 7/13/15 from Wisconsin. Did not answer - they left no message.
