Credit Card scam

Robo calls from this number come in frequently to 3 of my phone numbers. When I hit return call a connection was still live and I asked the man who he was and he said he's with credit card services. I said "No you're not. You're a scammer." Then he hung up on me.

They called on my cell phone this morning and the (thick accented) guy said that it had been noticed that I had paid my credit card bill promptly every month so I was entitled to an interest rate reduction. I told him thank you, but I'll call my credit card company back later....because I'm not falling for his scam shit !!...and hung up !

This # called on my home landline. When I answered, there was a pause, then a few musical notes, then a lot of background noise. I said "Hello?" again and some obnoxious guy said "HELLO?!!!" back, as if he was annoyed at me. So I hung up on him. Idiot.

Missed a call from this number this morning. 9am PST. No message. Glad I didn't answer after reading this. Also received calls with no answer from 2 other miscellaneous numbers this afternoon.

I keep getting calls on my cell to "reduce my current interest rate" on my credit cards. I don't have an open credit card at the moment and the calls are routed through many different numbers and cities. I've asked to be removed from their list in the past, but this time I played along. I answered yes to their questions if I had more than $3000 in open balance w/higher than 10% int rate. They asked me to provide the card expiration date to verify they were speaking to the "right person"... I made up an expiration date of 11/2016--they said, "yes, that is what we are showing as well". Then they asked me to confirm the credit card number leaving off the first four digits. I said, "Well the first four digits are the same on most cards to identify the card type, so I'm not sure how that helps. Before I give you my card number, can you tell me the name of your company?"---and they had already disconnected the line. Scum like this need to be arrested as this has got to be part of a larger identity theft scam. When I called the number back, a recording asks you to press 1 if you'd like to be placed on a Do Not Call list. That's the only option and if you do nothing, it will say Thank you for calling and disconnect.

Just received a call from them and googled their number while the phone was ringing, realized it was a scam and never answered. Noticed on several websites that they have been busy calling people this morning as I noticed a bunch of reported scam calls all reported this morning.
