The recorded message claimed to offer a lower interest rate on a credit card. One time I entered the number to speak to a representative who asked me if I had more than $10,000 in credit card debt. I asked the rep to take my name off the calling list and he simply hung up on me. There was no company name given. Believe me, next time I am going to try to get more information.

Just to reduce my interest rate. At the end of the message was instructed to press 1 to talk to an agent. I did that and while I was nicely asking to be removed from caller list, they immediately hung up on me. I have received about 8 calls from the same number in the past 2 months.
