Lowering credit card bills, etc.
The recorded message said "This is your last opportunity to reduce the interest rate on your credit card." and instructed me to press 1 to talk to an agent. Since I wanted to find out who was violating the Do Not Call list, I pressed 1. When a person picked up the line, all I said was (in a very polite voice) "Who is calling please?" At that point, the person hung up.
I continually receive calls of this type, in spite of my number being on both the state and federal do-not-call lists. I file complaints with you about them, but **NOTHING EVER HAPPENS**. This lack of action from the FCC is even more annoying than the telemarketer scum calls, because my tax money is supporting you! So, has anybody ever read this complaint? Will you actually DO anything about it. Just google the phone number that called me, and you will discover that this is a boiler-room operation that is calling THOUSANDS of people per day. And yet you let them operate for months and months! SHUT THEM DOWN!
