This scam hit our phone this afternoon. "There is a warrant for you arrest because you owe back taxes to CRA. You are to phone 613-800-9164". Our phone display shows 1-866-701-8376.

"Sean Cooper" still doing same scam. Almost was successful with my wife. After I found in internet information about this scam and told him about complain in RCMP he hang up the phone.

613-800-9164. Caller left a message, purportedly from Canada Revenue Agency. The man had a heavy Middle East or Indian Subcontinent accent. Most of the message was unintelligible. He said his name was Richard "something". He said something about an abandoned income tax file. He said I was to call him right away to avoid a warrant being issued for my arrest.

613 800 9164 CRA Telephone phishing. I have received telephone message from the individual claiming to be from the Canadian Revenue Agency (CRA). He identified himself as officer Richard Barry requesting call back otherwise 'they' will take the legal action against my persona. They called me a left a message to call them back regarding a tax fraud. I phoned them back and they gave two options, to pay 2,240.00 dollars or be arrested and go in front a judge. Then I got wise when they wanted my social insurance number and I refused. I told them I'm going to call the cops and find out what's up.He said o.k. and hung up.
