Just got a call as well. Phoned Revenue Canada just in case to verify if they phoned and they assured me they have not made that call or needed anything. Their requests arrive in writing rather than automated voicemails, the CRA gentlemen said.

Yeah just received one this morning here in British Columbia. 613 927 9689. Tried calling back but no one was answering. Probably a busy day for them

Got a similar message. When I call back they hung up on me. It is obvious there is some scam going on as CRA sends correspondence by mail.

Just got a call from 613-927-9689 claiming CRA was suing me. Definitely fraud because the individual could not verify that he had my personal information. I actually laughed at him. He got nasty and I hung up. Watch out for these. CRA DOES NOT CALL AND LEAVE VOICE MAILS!!!

Just received a call from this number today 613-927-9689. It was a voice recording stating CRA was claiming a lawsuit, Tried to call the number back and it just rang and no one answered.
