I received a similar call saying they were from the USA Police Officers Alliance and they were asking for donations to help keep the local police officers with the necessary tools and training. They would send me a request and thank you letter. Then I was sent to someone else who wanted my credit card and I said they could send me the info as originally stated. They got very hostile and crass when I said I had no idea who they were and would not give them my credit card. They sent me the info and John Cohan is the President and the address is a PO Box in Payson, AZ. When searching the internet, either for this organization or the address, there is nothing available - not even the address. I won't be sending them any money!

496 area code. Mam named kohn asking for donation to the american police alliance...we support officers in our local region frequently but this didnt feel right. Man was crass and harsh as well. Tried to call the number back and its an inactive number.

Received a call Nov, 12 from (602) 362-2967 claiming to be from the American Police Officers Alliance.

I spoke with "John" a few weeks ago and after he pressured me to donate I said I would donate $25.00. He asked which credit card would I be using I said send me a bill and I send it back to them. This morning at 05:00 I was awakened by the same "John", asking about the check. I said I had written the check but I was not happy he had awakened me at 05:00am! Needless to say I won't bw mailing that check to this joker!!

They called me on Halloween night. I am a current police officer in the Cincinnati, Ohio area (26 years). I have never heard of them before. The website says the contributions are NOT tax deductible -- My spidy senses are tingling.

I just got a call from them. I told them that I support law enforcement. They wanted to know if I could put a donation on my credit card. I told them no. Send me some information and I would check it out to make sure it was on the up and up. I don't get a warm and fuzzy feeling about it.

Caller said he was calling from American Police Officers Alliance. Before he started his scripted spill, I told him that we support law enforcement. Me being a former police officer and my wife worked for the Harris County Sheriff's Office (Houston, Tx.) for 22 years. Thank you but we will not be donating to this organization. Looked up this number and it showed Allen,Tx. 469-270-6491 which is a different number than the one showing for American Police Officers Alliance.
