These guys have figured out how to get around Call Control because every time I block one number, they use a new one.

I also got a call 12-11-15 from Ada at 616-227-4260 from a Pakistani or Indian fellow telling me that he wanted to GIVE me a life alert and since I was a senior citizen it was free. I told him he was calling a DO NOT CALL number and that he now owed me a $1500 penalty, how did he want to send it to me. He said no that didn't apply since he wasn't selling me anything (ha ha) and I said it didn't matter since he was offering to provide goods or services, and advised him that I was recording the conversation and voice printing him, and I hung up.

Something to think about: when you answer calls like this--and press a button to either speak to someone or to be added to their supposed "do not call list"-- you are VERIFYING that you have a good phone #. You may feel vindication by keeping them on the line, yell obscenities at them, or waste their time, however at that point your phone # will likely be added to a list of good working #s. Most likely your verified, good phone # will also be sold to other dirtbag, low-life parasites (let's be realistic, they're all in this for the same purpose--to scam you out of your money).

I don't even let these types of calls go to voicemail (if I can help it), because, once again it verifies that they have reached a good phone #. Whenever I can, if I see a number on the caller ID I don't recognize (or unknown/blocked #), I simply pick up the handset, and immediately hang it back up. In the case of them calling my cell phone, I press "answer," then immediately press "end." The reason is, there is a delay on auto dialers, because the dialer has already placed the call and puts the call in a queue, waiting for the next available agent to pick it up. If you answer and hang it up quickly enough--before the agent connects--it just drops the call, and the dialer has already called someone else. I'm not saying mine is a foolproof system, but since I have started doing this, I have much fewer unwanted calls. The Do Not Call Registry is a joke, these thieves figured out how to circumvent the DNC a long time ago.
