The recorded message said that "this is a call regarding your current credit card". Basically, the message was supposed to convince me to speak to a representative so I could "lower my credit cards' interest rate." I pressed the 1 key to speak to a representative to ask them to remove my number from their system. A representative picked up the line, and as soon as I said "I would like you to remove my number from your system, please" he hung up the line. I only spoke that one sentence. I did provide him with time to introduce himself, the company, or the product he was trying to sell. HE DID NOT PROVIDE ANY OF THAT INFORMATION. He simply picked up the line and said "how can I help you?", in response to which I said that I would like to ask him to remove my number from their system. in response to my request, he simply hung up the line. After I called the number back, an automated system picked up the line and did not provide any useful information, nor an option for me to opt out.

The message they left said something about taking advantage of the stimulus. It's just another method to attempt identity theft.

Caller ID said they were Bank Card SVCS. The first recording said there was an emergency with one of my credit cards. I pressed #1 as instructed and got a human who tried to sell me a loan. I asked them not to call again, and they called the next day.
