Lower interest rate on credit card - second notice. I asked how my phone number was selected and was told that it had been provided by the issuer of one of my credit cards (specifically, MasterCard or Visa). Was given a long (and confusing answer) and then was asked whether I had at least $4000 in credit card debt. Instead of saying "Yes" or "No," I asked her if this call was placed from one of my credit card issuers (I do not have a MasterCard or Visa credit card). Then, she hung up the phone. I tried to call back on the caller ID number, but received an automated voice system that did not identify the business.

We don not have credit cards OR loans of any type with ANYONE. I have been ignoring calls from this number for months, hoping they would simply give-up eventually. They got me today, rushed in from outside to answer call (our son is in the military) so, we try to get to the phone. No more, this number MUST stop phoning my home.

getting you a lower interest rate by allowing them to consolidate your credit card balances. These people have called several times a week for years and I'm sick of them. I usually don't answer, but when I have asked them to stop calling they hang up on me!
