I have also received calls from an unavailable source. I have spoken with these people and requested to be put on their no call list. i also called the number and registered my number August 11th, 2012. I have receieved more calls after registering my number. Most calls are regarding improving credit card intererst (never had one)or furthering my education. I am retired and have no desire for either service.
A few calls are from overseas.

This is a recorded message telling me that they can reduce my credit card interest rates. I have received the same call from multiple phone numbers. If you try to talk to a human to find out where they are calling from they hang up on you.

The automated message calls every day and tells me I qualify for a lower interest rate on my credit cards; if you press one, it goes to a live person that asks for your credit card number and identifying information.
