Reduced credit card interest

They just called, and I opt'd to press "1" to talk to someone, when they answered, I gave them my name and asked them to put me on their "Do Not Call" list, and the lady was reasonably rude saying that they do not actually make the calls, and that if I get another call from this number, I shouldn't press "1", I should select the "take me off the list" option, then hung up on me.

The automated message that begins when the phone is answered wants you to believe that they are calling from your credit card company to offer a very limited time offer to cut your interest rate. The message goes on to say that to speak with someone you need to press a number. When you do this, a person will answer. If you try to tell them anything, like "do not call me again" they hang up before you are able to get through the first word. These calls have been going on, for me, for months. The number on my caller ID changes, but the automated voice message is recorded by the same person, it's the exact same message, and the result is always the same. I have tried to keep someone on the line to get information, but as soon as you ask one question, they hang up! The calls come in during all hours of the day, early morning and late evening. This is extremely annoying and I want it to stop!!!
