they has this tactic they send you a docket number that dated awhile back, and he will tell you that he won the case against you because you didn't show up , but the reality is or their evil tactic is they sent you a docket to your old address so that why you default to appear at the court, and they can win the case against you .
email the attorney general and also report them to the consumer. bureau, also you want just notified your bank about their scam....

also, in Massachusetts the time limit for debt collector to collect is 6 years after six they can't go after you, check your state for time limit.

This Guy Tom Gilcrest from Atty Mike Kelley office called me a few months ago asking me to pay a judgement from 12 years ago on a credit card he sounded like a scam. I just got a letter from both of my banks that my account has been levied!!! We are in the middle of a crisis I cant afford this. I called him back to see if he would take a payment plan and I even apologized for thinking he was a scam ...he laughed at me and told me to deal with it because he tried to help me before. How was I suppose to no it was not a scam. You dont just pay people over the phone on a random call. What do I do now? Is there anyone someone else can help me? I have 3 kids I will be homeless if I cant pay my rent.

yes saying I owed a bill from 2009 . that they were going to take my ssi check
I have MS when I called him back a doz times he would not pickup. with all that's going on with virus being sick. I dont need to deal with this scammer

Tom Gilchrist called me in January 2020 and convinced me to pay $1800.00 on a judgment against me from 2009. It had been paid, but he convinced me it had not and my bank account would be frozen. He had my SS# and my bank account number, so I caved.
Five months later this nasty thief called me again and went through the same monologue about this same old debt. This time he wants $2800.00 - FOR THE SAME (PAID) DEBT I RePAID IN JANUARY. Fool me once...

Someone named Tom Gilcrest called me from this number informing me of a judgement from 2003 on an old credit card that I knew nothing about I thought it was a scam because everyone on here said it was... I asked for documentation he gave me a docket # in which the court suprisingly verified it was legit I tried to set up a payment plan with the court because I did not have $6000 and they told me I had to call Tom or the lawyer's office back representing Norfolk Financial Corp which is the company that sued me he would not give me a settlement so I told him I would call back when I was able to get the money. Today I got a notice in the mail from my bank stating that a levy has taken place for 3-5 months or until the judgement is paid and also my employer has notified me of a wage garnishment. I called my Local police dept and they checked out the docket number and spoke with Tom and all checked out to be true. I just dont see how this can happen to me when I knew nothing about this. Now I am going to be homeless because I can't pay my rent.

A Tom Gilchrist called from this number. He said he'd checked our bank account and we could afford to pay $26,000 on an old, old bill that had been closed.
THIS IS A SCAM. CONTACT YOUR POLICE DEPARTMENT AND ATTY GENERAL'S OFFICE.
This is currently with our local PD and the Massachusetts Attorney General's office. Every report helps put these guys away. If they try to tow your car, call the police and ask for the papers. Only the loan company can repossess your car.
