FINANCIAL SERVICES/CREDIT CARDS
They were looking for people in my area to allow them to put an alarm system in my house.
I receive a phone call around 3pm today. Some person with GE Security begins to speak. I hang up the phone before I lose my temper. I've asked these people SEVERAL times not to call, and my cell phone is on the do-not-call list. So I call back, and it asks "Would you like to further your education?". Why would a Home Security have anything to do with Education? Is this the supermarket of telemarketing here?

It's not a person. It's a very sophisticated automated recording which uses voice recognition to answer certain common responses. It's also probably not GE, but an offshore phishing scam.
