This guy Bill Stevens stated that he is a fraud investigator. Then he asked to be transferred HR to send out the U S Marshalls. He used profanity and called me stupid. This guy is very unprofessional.

Although many of you may question the legitimacy of this company i must say they are legitimate. They contacted me about a GE Moneybank Consumer Card opened originally in April 2007, I paid on the thing for about a year and half and then losty my job. i originally received a demand letter from them providing me 30 days to dispute the valdity of the debt. They had apparently purchased this debt from the creditor. I disputed the debt and they fired back with an original contract and showed proof of the purchase being made. I then read the many complaints on this sight and became skeptical so i filed a complaint with the attorney generals office in PA. They responded to the complaint with copies of licenses, the original debt and all appropriate information. They claimed i owed $1,797.00 (which seemed a little high) but then again it may be mostly fees and interest. I am currently paying them monthly on a 6 month payment plan at $200 a month in a $1,200 settlement. You never can be too careful, there are a lot of scams out there these days financially but these guys had their act together. Many of you come here to seek information about a company to find whether or not they are legitimate - and then see everyone here claiming by assumption alone that this company is a scam. I almost didnt pay these guys because of what was said on these boards, and i am glad i researched a bit further. In legitimate cases where a company is a scam these forums can help you, but it can hurt you if you listen to those who havent researched things thoroughly. No one likes to pay their bills!

This caller is very rude says he is a bill collector. He has called my place of employment and not sent anything in the mail. He has cursed me out, he said he will prosecute me and come after me. Then he started laughing at me and said you are mad because I found you. He will not provide me any of his information or the debt information other than his name and phone number.
