I got a call saying it was the irs...i blocked ph number on my ph..The irs does not call

Left an automated voicemail twice today stating that the call is coming from the local county courthouse and to kindly call them back. I called back from a different phone number. And someone answered-Officer Shawn.

I received a call twice recorded message that claims I am subject to a law suit but no mention of a case number or whom I am being sued by. I blocked the number and if it is legit they can come to my home and serve me. Lol these scammers are stupid. If you get a call from this number block it. They prey on the elderly so warn people you care about. The IRS never calls and if you are being sued they will always try to resolve 15mm matters out of court first thru collection agents via US Mail. Good luck

ALERT !!!!!!!

Scammers from Jaipur India, we scanned this call and traced it to Jaipur,India they are using a US based rolling code on the internet.
Be aware of the scam they are claiming to be IRS agents an will charge you whatever they ask if you allow them to, we have contacted the FCC to investigate into this matter.
They may use other area codes and numbers, so the best policy is to report each isolated incident to the office of IRS at 800-829-1040.
Do not answer the call when you pick up when the call you by your full name. (IRS will never call any tax payers directly and they use certified mail verified by the post office to reach you)

As an attorney I tell my clients to report these calls and do not ignore the fact the law is on your side.

Threaten with legal action. Seems to be a scamp call.
