You are correct that this number is more than likely being faked. I did a quick reverse lookup on this number and it is shown as belonging to:

David Knier (620) 544-4187 Hugoton, KS 67951

This appears to be a residential number, so it is pretty obvious that this number is associated with a scam or fake caller ID.

got a call from this number at 4:24pm today missed the call but was left a voicemail. Same message that others have gotten, which was something about expired vehicle warranty which is not true.

I received a call on my cell phone from this number, tried to return the call via land line and got a disconnect recording. Same message that others have gotten, which was something about expired vehicle warranty which is not true.

The call was automated and said that I had to renew my factory vehicle warantee. That is untrue and is a scam.

Seems to be an auto-dialer used by hackers to try and gain access to other computers

I live in Hugoton. Worked with Dave for a few years. I can tell you it is not him. He may be crazy but he is not stupid.

The Car Warranty calls start again. Received this call on my cell phone (which alone is illegal - doesn't matter if your on the do-not-call list) at 12:45. Same stuff - your car warranty is about to expire press one to talk press 2 to be removed.

The caller ID I am positive is spoofed (faked). Report all of these calls to the FTC at www.ftc.gov
