Calling me daily asking for personal information and refusing to tell me why they are calliing

I do not talk to anyone on the telephone wanting to discuss collections. How do I know who they are and whether it is valid calling and they called my cell phone? Isn't that illegal for PORTFOLIO RECOVERY to do. I never game them my number and they are trying get something from me that I don't if they are scamming me about? Too many if's, send me a letter.

I've added this number to the growing list of portfolio blocked numbers. They stopped calling for a while after they were told the debt was past the statue of limitations. They have now started back up again

Careful whatever you sign when incurring medical debt, READ everything. NEVER sign any magnetic strip, make them PRINT IT OUT, READ IT, then cross out what you don't agree to. Medical creditors are resorting to fine print that gives them your permission to use auto dialers to call cell phones. Without your permission, IT IS ILLEGAL and you can file a civil action and be awarded a certain, lucrative amount PER CALL.
DO NOT ever take a medical creditors word that "Oh, it just says blah, blah, blah..." READ EVERYTHING!
