Got a call from an man with an accent (sounded like he may be from India) saying I needed to call my attorney about a legal matter. When I asked him where he was calling from he said the Dept of Legal Affairs. I asked what company he said I needed to call Michael Carter at 626-239-3148. I BING searched the number as he was giving it to me and found this site. I told him I couldn't understand him because of his thick accent and that if he wanted anything from me to have a person call me that spoke English as a 1st language. He hung up in my face. When I called the number, it said the mailbox was full...TOO FUNNY!!! The economy is too bad for anybody to be worried about this kind of "threat".

I received a call from this number and a man with an Indian accent stated that he was calling from the Department of Legal Affairs. He said that my name and SS# were a part of an investigation. He asked me if I had talked to my attorney. I asked him to repeat himself and he said that my attorney's name was Michael Carter. I have an attorney and that is not his name. The court does not appoint you an attorney if you don't ask for one! When he gave me the attorney's phone number and asked me to call him to get additional information, I was a little curious. When he read off the number and it was the exact same number he was calling from, I knew it was a scam! As I was talking to him, the number appeared on my phone again as a waiting call. When I tried to call the number back, it said that the mailbox was full.

LOL...... an Indian accent with an American Name Michelle Brown.She called and tried to scare me by stating she needed my Att's info to fax over the documents for a payday loan I took out and used but never paid it back. She tried scaring me asking for my att's info so she fax the documents to them. She said she was colling from Dept. of Legal Affairs and Investigation. LOL had my rolling. One dude called me last week saying the saime thing and about a payday loan. I just find it funny she all of a sudden couldn't understand me and needed to call me back in half an hour I kept saying i can hear you fine..... IDIOTS

Indian scammers.

They keep calling my work saying they are a private investigator named Mark Wilson and it is causing problems with my job I told them that i was comtacting the police were i lived to report them maybe this will stop the call

I received a phone call about a case i dont even know about the lady barely spoke english and hung up on me i a worried because she had my information

They called me .. and i didn't answer so they left a voicemail saying It is important i return that call immediately OR ELSE... and then they went on to say.. if you don't call back, i wish you good luck.. rude! Some Indian guy. Didn't say where he was from ... what law firm or anything.. so i tried to call back and all this system said was "Welcome" no ring tone or anything... and then hung up on me or say this mailbox was full. At first it did scare me until i saw all these posts and i realize.. it IS A SCAM!!!

Just got this call today. They said they were going to have me arrested. They said that they would report this to the credit bureau and that I have excellent credit that would be damaged. I'm cracking up. That was theri first mistake. Where'e this excellent credit coming from? Would i have paid for a payday loan if I had excellent credit. I don't think so. Idiots!!!!

Yurp.. Them fools called me today.. And I told them don't call my job anymore otherwise I will report them to the police as a scam artist and they'll be the one going to jail.

lol just like everyone else they tried to scare me too and iasked them there name they would not tell me and i told them i was tracking there number they hung up so fast lol

Trying to scam G/F with bogus claims that she owes unpaid debt to a payday advance company.... they threaten you will be served and/or arrested by local police or local sheriff if you do not contact them and/or your attorney. They speak poor English and REFUSE to provide any proof of this bogus transaction. They claim only that the police will magically show up at your workplace and home.

Some woman named "amanda" called saying that there is an urgent legal matter that I need to handle and to call her back now. Or I have imprisoned myself. I have been receiving threating calls like this since last tuesday saying its a legal matter against my name and SS# for an unpaid payday loan. And they also called stating that he was "Officer George Martin" but will not give a badge number and will not give an documents to show or prove a so called online payday loan. They are using multiple numbers to call me. Usually it comes up Blocked or +00000000. Sadly it is annoying and cannot be stopped...

they was calling me a lot of times to my cell phone and and my job they told me sherrif is coming and pick me up and bring me to the court,i believe this is the payday loan,i almost fired today because my boss dosnt want it call to the office they interrupt the buisness

This is a ficticious/bogus caller. Threatened legal action but doesn't name their company.
