Portfolio Recovery. I have just went through very intense and expensive credit repair , and this was wiped off my credit. They are still trying to validate debt that has been taken off my credit report. These guys are sharks and I detest them. Block them and whatever you do, do not at any time in your conversation with them use your name or say yes or acknowledge in any there probing.

Portfolio Recovery tries to collect expired debts

Got screwed over by ex-wife after returning from a deployment in 2004. tried to work out something with them. They refused. Years of calls and multiple times a day. A few days later tried to work something out again just to end it. Gave $100 to show good faith on my part. (Told my bank ahead of time), They tried to run several thousand dollars through my bank. Bank prevented the transaction. A year later they wanted to settle for what I had offered before. I told them to pound sand and to quit calling. Same number use to show up. When I blocked it, then another #. Blocked it, another #. I just keep adding them to the block call list. AND, they never leave a message.
