Left a voice mail telling me they were from the IRS and that the IRS was filing lawsuits against me and to call 02864122 for details. The female voice sounded computer sounded generated.

called and said they were from micro soft and there is a problem with my windows and they could help me fix it so after several calls i went out and bought myself one of them little air horns thst tou take out on a boat and i bllast that in thrir ear

Just called and told me they were from windows and that they had received error messages from my computer. I told thats funny I just got off the phone with HP and a technician and my computer is working fine. When I told them I would report them to the police for fraud they hung up.

Tried to tell me my computers were sending error messages. Prolem is with that my computrs have been offline for 2 weeks. Then they wanted my address and if somone would be at home. Boy, I really must sound stupid1

Microsoft scam

I received the same type of call this week. Said he was from Microsoft and they were getting 10,000 error msgs from computer daily and he needed to help me fix the problem. Wanted me to go to my start menu and into different areas and tell him what I had on my screen. I told him that I wasn't comfortable doing anything like that over the phone. I told him I would do some checking with my service provider andthe RCMP Freud dept. and he could cal me back in 1/2 hr once I had appropriate info. Of course he didn't call back....number was not in service when I called it back of course. This is a scam and my cable co said they want you to give them your IP# so they can access your computer and your files. BEWARE!!!
Big problem I'm having now is I'm getting at least 15 calls every day from NYC, Florida, Calif. etc with no one on the line.....just a msg after a few minutes that simply says "Good Bye". Would like any advice on how to stop these harrassing calls from coming in. If I don't answer then my ans machine picks up so it still makes a connection. HELP pls.

Got a woman asking me about viruses and malicious content being downloaded on my computer. Told her I wasn't interested. She was a jerk.

Repeatedly asked for an owner or manager. Sounded foreign and finally hung up when I told him about 3 times that the owner/manager was not in. I couldn't understand him very well. Never found out what he wanted exactly.

a company offering credit card/POS terminals with reduced rates - yeah right !!!!! the man was extremely rude, arrogant and demanding to speak the owner and he changed his tone when I told him I was one of the owners. He quickly hung up when I pointed out that we were very happy with our present providor.
