I got the exact same call, I asked for a return phone number because I was busy...the return number is 858-429-9800. didnt call back

Got a call today from this number to my parents and when i checked online the country, i found it in one website listed as US number. Anyway as per my dads description, they used regional language in India from where i belong. They felt it like Malayalam or Tamil. the network was not clear enough to understand. seems they are calling worldwide using different persons.

So don't take calls from this number. and report to Cyber police/cop in your country.

Caller stated that he was from Microsoft, and that they were battling a 'network wide series of viruses.' He had a heavy Indian accent and was difficult to understand. He asked me to log onto my computer, so that I could provide him with bridge access in order to rectify the problem. I exercised my usual caution, and told him that I found the call unusual and dubious, and suggested that he e-mail me (if he has my phone number he MUST have my e-mail...right?) from Microsoft, with a number at Microsoft at which I could reach him before I would proceed any further. He became fairly aggressive and told me that this was the one and only time the Microsoft would be calling to fix the problem, and that if I refused, it would be my own problem! I ended the conversation there....called the number back to see what would happen...no answer! Then I googled the number and ended up here. Be warned...clearly a fraud attempt, and not by a criminal mastermind! If this moron can dupe you, you can't just fault him. It's hard to imagine being more stupid than this guy!!!
