Claimed to be calling on behalf of NICOR and said they were part of the energy efficiency program and would be getting me a better rate. If you agree over the phone it can constitute the agreement into a contract. Stay clear!
Claim to be calling from NICOR gas and ask you to call back and be sure you have a copy of recent gas bill.
