It appears that they are in fact Cablevision. I requested and they obliged by blocking that number from calling me. See link: https://www.optimum.net/pages/PrivacyExisting.html. Optimum Policy reads: In this notice, "we" and "Cablevision" refer to CSC Holdings, LLC (formerly CSC Holdings, Inc.) and/or any affiliate of CSC Holdings, LLC that owns, operates, or provides Covered Services.

Calls me up to 4x per day. It is Optimum Cablevision's sales dept. They want to sell you other services. You can call 1-888-425-2088 and request to be put on their internal "Do Not Call" list.

Got calls 2Xs a day. Called Optimum's main number to check. Definitely them telemarketing ONLY way to get off the list is calling them and being transferred to another division. If you do this make sure to ask current operator to stay on the line with you other wise your call will get "accidently" dropped. I had to call 3 times before I smartened up. They are the only provider in my area so I'm stuck but now I'm definitely NEVER upgrading with them.

This is a scam attempting to get personal info. Add to block list online cable lan line and if hey have your cell number, reject list. [...this number call me, telling me they have a 'cablevision' deal for me, IF i give them a new address. He told me they are calling from cable vision, and before telling me this great deal offer, insisted, several times hat I give them a new address I am supposed to be moving to. I would never give out ANY info. anyway. I asked him why caller ID showing as CSC HOLDING CO. a "holding company?" he told me they ARE a holding co. for cable vision and I could call them right back to prove this. Anyone can pre-record incoming messages to allow someone to believe you are calling a "real co."] Do not give these people ANY info., just hang up and block properly.

automated voice cable company keeps calling asking if I want to be removed from their list press 2 then states the request can not be completed at this time.

May be a scam or not. They were trying to sell me Optimum service with promo savings. Except I already have Optimum and they called me on my Optimum phone. Caller acted confused and apologized. Either oa scam or a screwed up telemarketing organization.

Demanded to know why I have internet but don't want cable services. I tried telling them cable is too expensive and I use Hulu/Netflix. Then I get told about every channel they have and the "great promotions". I have tried asking them to stop each time!

To put your phone number on Optimum's "do not call" list for sales & promotions, call 888.425.2088 and follow the prompts. (I got the number from an Optimum sales rep after I called them to complain about their telemarketing.)

They call me so much it really has crossed the line and come to the point of harassment. Worse yet is no one is even there when I pick up the phone so I can't tell them to stop calling. Despite multiple attempts with speaking to customer representatives over the phone and being put on No Call Lists, they still continue to call. I'm f-ing mad.
I finally emailed the Customer Support department letting them know how terrible of a company they are and it's not fair to charge people so much money for subpar quality service while that money is going to these employees that must sit around all day making these phone calls to people, seeing how much they can piss people off. Really ridiculous.
I encourage you all to email them sharing your sentiments. I doubt my email will change their behavior, but I think if there is a big enough effort, hopefully they will stop calling.

I have called this number back and it is Cablevision wanting you to get their bundle package. They never leave a message because they want you to call back and hear "Cablevision" so you think its a problem with your service.

I did speak to them, they weren't rude or anything. I told them I wasn't interested....BUT ... they keep calling ...... and calling .......and calling.
