I wasn't home so they discussed that on my answering service but the phone number when I called back told me it was no longer in service
The number left identified it as coming from "Payphone" # 631-581-9211

Didn't answer

Told me that i had a virus on my windows computer. I laughed att hem and said "really? I dont own a f-ing windows computer!" She hung up on me.

Scam, called back saying he wanted to have Sex after I said he didn't have a computer.

Windows support called pretty much with the same song and dance above. I'm a computer service tech and also work for the telecommunications company my internet is through. These twits are not very bright.
1. You cannot link an IP address for a computer to a phone number - typically this would require a court order to even think about this.
2. They call people that don't even have computers.
3. They don't listen. My dad told them 3 times that he does not even own a computer. Even then they were still pitching their lines.

It is known the source for this is a place in India. Unfortunately, do not call lists do not work internationally. I live just outside of Halifax Nova Scotia - This is the 5 or 6th time they've tried.

I Live in Montreal, Canada, and I just received a call from that number. There seemed to be nobody at the end of the line. That may be because I answered in French instead of English. I don't have caller display so I can't provide a company name. Fri., Dec. 16, 2011, 5 min. to 5 p.m. Eastern time.

The scammer called and tld me he was Windows. He then provided to try to sell mea new company warrenty for my laptop PC.

After I told him I would not give him my credit card info, he then ngot unhooked and hungup.

Scammer told me that i had a critical virus and i had three hours to fix it. he said he wanted access to my computer remotely to help fix the problem i started asking questions and he hung up. he later called back and apologized for getting disconnected and continued to try.
