I received a call from this number at my employer and at home....stating thta I better call them or else I would be arrested? Are these legitimate calls??

Claimed to be an Officer from the Department of Crime and Investigation out of Houston, Texas. I was given a bogus name of Kevin Scott. In the background I could hear other people talking, it sounded like a typical telemarketing scam. But "Kevin Scott" denied it until the end.I asked him several questions including his telephone number (which was 631-886-3011), his supervisor's name and extension (Michael Sinclair x1010) and his address (1320 Brittany Street, Houston, TX 77075 and I Google this address and didn't get anything). "Officer Scott" stated that my financee was a suspect in a crime and that if he didn't respond that they would take him to court.
