Got a voice message from this number saying it was David Jones from the IRS and that they were auditing me and I needed to call back as soon as possible. It didn't even ring when I tried to call back, and since I was already suspicious, I decided to look to the internet. Thank goodness I did! Scam all the way....

I heard this message on my answering machine and they said i was being sued or something and to call the number - I was like WHAT - So i called but it doesn't even ring.. Thank god i saw this i was panicking like what in the world !!!!

Left vm saying it was the last time they would contact me. That it was the IRS and they were going to press charges if I didn't call back..weird!! Definitely a SCAM!

Got a call saying I had evaded my taxes and am a federal criminal. There was a man that answered who was extremely rude and said he was an officer, saying I was a criminal and I had to deal with officers. I told him I'd never frauded the govt and all he kept saying was I had. Then I was done listening to him knowing it was a new York number and the IRS would not be a new York number let alone call me and tell me something like that. Such a waste of time.

Received call from 646-351-1258. Left name of John Henry from the IRS. Were told we completed income tax for 2007-2010 wrong and were being sued by the IRS. Were told to get a lawyer. Spouse called the phone# back later the same day to get information. The representatve refused to speak with me. I handed the phone to spouse and represenative hung up on him.
