Just got the same call from an Officer David Newman saying that if myself or my attorney didn't call back, there would be severe consequences.

Definitely a scam! He makes the call sound extremely urgent.

This person called me and claimed to be with the IRS and either me or my lawyer call him back

officer David Newman called and said it was urgent and that if I didn't call him back there would be legal actions against me. He called twice within i0 minutes. His voices had an accent like scottish or british.

Left a voicemail saying he was "Officer David Newman", and that the issue was "extremely time sensitive". He requested to call him back immediately, and if I didn't then I would have some type of legal action taken against me. I noticed a non-American accent, possibly a hint of Indian.

We are a police department and had a complaint. There was a recording of Newman. This will result in a case and if we identify Newman and who he is, this case will be turned into a federal case.

Claimed to be IRS & demanded I call or there would be consequences.

Caller: an person who identified himself as an IRS officer. A backward check of the number indicates it belongs to David Newman.

SCAM! Guys called, said he was David Newman from IRS. I knew it was a scam so I called back. Asked him why he was scamming people - he said "F* you mf*er, sck my d*ck you mf*er". I called him back again and asked him why he was scamming people, and he just starting screaming expletives.

called. did not leave a name just a number and threatened me with whatever. though was not specific has to why he called or for what or what the consequences are if I do not return the call.

Said he was from the IRS and threatened me saying I need to call back or I could be in trouble. He even gave a badge number. Scam
