Antivirus software - also made a false claim at the start of the email that they had detected a Windows virus on our systems to argue that the software was necessary, even though we don't run Windows systems

Anti Virus Software. Appologized for some Windows software problem. Claimed he was calling because I was getting virus & attachments that could harm my computer when I go online. When asked if he worked for Windows... No. How did you get my number?... He hung up! It's a scam. I've had the call before. Internet search reveals others having same calls. Caller wants you to type information while connected to them via internet. PLEASE PULL THE PLUG ON PHONE(646)502-6605

A male with a thick indian accent and improper English called from 646*502*6605, asking me to go to my computer and type in certain things that will allow him to help me fix a "slow computer" problem because I "have a virus".

Caller mentioned he was in "software sales" and asked, "Do you want any software?"

Wanted me to go to my computers and check them for being slow, they are "computer repair specialists" who can assist with my computer if there is something wrong.

I did not contact them, they are cold calling people and trying to pose as tech support for their computer systems.

Claimed he got my phone number because I'm a Windows user.

This was outright fraud. Caller addressed me by name, claimed to be "tech support" and claimed to have detected a problem with the Windows OS on my computer which he would fix. I do not own a Windows computer.

IT services

The Indian caller said there was a problem with my computer and wanted to sign on remotely, gain access to my hard drive, and fix the problem.

Person calling wanted to talk to me about my computer and provide me with a service to "fix" it. I told "Robert" that I was not interested in speaking to him, said thank you very much, goodbye and hung up while he was still talking. He immediately called me back to tell me I hung up on him and then became very rude as I again said to him (in increasing volume) that I did not know who his company was, I am on the National Do Not Call List and that he did not have the right to be calling me. His response was to tell me that he could call me whenever he pleased. When I asked again for his company information and told him that I would report him to the FCC, he hung up.

PC Repair.

Call comes from an automated dialer, with a long silent break, then an indian sounding person reads from a script. They are selling some sort of "windows fix" claiming that they've identified my "windows based" computer has been compromised. They make it sound as if they've identified a problem with my computer. They hung up on me once I told them that I do not "windows" PC.
