Got the exact same call about he's IRS and call back or attorneys would get involved. The IRS always communicates through the mail unless you call them.

I also received a call from this "Eric Foster" stating he was an officer with the IRS. He had a VERY thick accent. He stated it was time sensitive & if I didn't call back with an attorney that I better have luck on my side. Very monotone. I will not be calling this person back. I have been receiving many scam calls from the area code 646 lately. This is just another one. It is common for these foreign callers to assign themselves a generic American name. Don't fall for it.

Rec'd call of same kind 1/22/2015 at 12:55pm and 5:08pm. Said was from IRS, Officer Eric Foster, etc etc as noted in other comments.

he called me and said he was "officer foster" and if I didn't call right back it would be 'bad for me and 'wished me luck" I did call and no answer...I wish I could find him,,,,,,then he would need more than 'luck'...

A recording left a message that was hard to understand that the "IRS" needed us or our attorney to call them back. Left this message twice. Said that if we did not wish us good luck but we would be responsible. This number is not even our local IRS but was from NY. This phone number is NOT listed for any of the NY IRS offices! Name was Eric Foster and he did not offer a badge number to confirm who he was. please file a report: http://www.treasury.gov/tigta/contact_report_scam.shtml

Called my home number saying he was from the IRS and if I did not call back IMMEDIATELY he would be worried about me. This was a recording. When attempted calk back number couldn't be connected
