yes I was contacted by kevin williams with same story very scary it is good to have a service like that this these phone calls can be reported
I received the same message from Kevin Williams, same number and story. I am glad to have this service to alert others to this type pf harrassment
We received the same type of call also very threatening here in new mexico how come they don't track and trace them to keep us safe gaurded
I received a call (518) 300-3672 telling me I was going to be arrested on 3 felony charges, including wire fraud and money laundering. They said I had borrowed $300 sometime in 2014 (couldn't tell me a date) and said the local authorities would be by to serve that warrant. I told them I never borrowed $300 from anyone and asked who was filing the charges. They told me Advanced American Cash Advance (AACA). The next day, I called AACA and they said they no record of me in their system and told me they had been getting calls from upstate NY regarding fraud/scam situations like mine. The next day I received a call (they left a message) saying he was Kevin Williams from Criminal Law Justice Legal Service and that they needed to speak with me as soon as possible. Left his number (646)583-1243. Some dude who couldn't speak hardly any English answered. He asked me to hold and then someone else picked up the phone and in better English (still had an India/Pakistan accent) said the same thing as the previous call. I told them I had called AACA and wasn't in ther system so I asked them for contact information so I would know who my attorney could contact to file a lawsuit against them (these callers, not AACA). The very next words out of his mouth were (and I quote) "you are a motherfucker". I said excuse me and he repeated "you are a motherfucker". Before I could say anything he hung up. It will be interesting if they attempt to call me again today.
I am contacting the Missouri Attorney Generals's office today and also the FTC. This is harassment at it's finest with attempted extortion.
