Same. Caller, Jonathan Knight stating I'm hiding information from the IRS.

I was called by a "Ray Barker" from this number. Same story as the rest... said I had been audited by the IRS and there was an arrest warrant for me if I didn't pay my outstanding tax balance by 4:00 that day. Case ID number was also 00-100-3636.

He called my mothers house yesterday, an address and telephone number that I have not used in over 10 years. There has to be some kind of way to get these frauds arrested or dealt with through the law. This is despicable and so out of line. Praying on people for their hard earned money. Pure Savages. And his name was Jonathan Knight, and I was not at my moms house, so he left some message to get back to him. I called this morning and the phone rung out and then some automated message came on. First red flag was the 646 area code, no IRS number would start with 646. Secondly, the phone rung out till infinity instead of the number immediately stating that the IRS has been reached. Sad on so many levels.

I got a call this morning from Jonathan Knight. He gave his IRS badge #46719. I knew because he called my cell number instead of the house phone. Also, he didn't actually give me a callback number. Just what showed up on my caller ID.

Received a message this morning stating I was hiding information from the IRS and that I needed to call back immediately. Knew this was fake because the IRS only communicates thru the mail. Jonathan Knight was the caller who implied this was a matter of utmost importance, and if I didn't call back I would be audited.

They called me too. Said I'm being audited for fraudulent tax claim. Caller Jonathan knight. Anything to steel peoples identify. BEWARE!! If IRS goes after people, they certainly don't leave detailed info on a voicemail and will contact you thru mail. SCAM!!

I got this phone call also and my husband told its FAKE because IRS will communicate through mail and doesn't threat anybody. We ignore it.

I got a call from a Jonathon Knight also claiming he was from the IRS. He didn't stay on the line a long time just enough to say he was from the IRS. It seemed more like it was a recording than that of a real person. I didn't say anything beyond the first hello.

NY, USA. Received a call from this number claiming to be IRS.

I got the same call but did not call back.

I did not answer the call but they left a message claiming that I call immediately after receiving the message because they were investigating and doing an audit because of some fraudulent information I had given. I called, they had my name, address, and then proceeded to tell me I had an arrest warrant under my name, I was given that arrest warrant number (00-100-3636), he gave me his name (Jonathan Knight), and his badge number (46719). He said that the police department would be coming to arrest me. I put him on hold, had a co-worker call on the other line and give him the third degree, he ended up hanging up on both of us.

They called me too and, unfortunately for me, I was taken for > $3400.00. They knew enough about me (name, address, cell number, email) to make me very anxious. Threatened immediate arrest if I spoke with anyone else. I did not know that the IRS only used the mail system to communicate. I also got "Jonathon Knight" and "Ray Parker" and "Chris Martin." I feel stupid now.

Caller claims I am hiding information from IRS that is considered fraud. Johnathon.
