Recd a robo message from IRS. (Not likely) stating her name was Officer Lauren Anderson from the IRS division and to please call her back at (646) 589-0693. It further stated to not disregard the call and return her call immediately before action is taken against me. Thank you and take care.
Clearly a SCAM. This has been happening a lot in my area. Reporting call to proper authorities.
First of all, the IRS does not cintact you via phone. Secondly, they will issue written notice if there is a matter to be tended to and send a certified copy if need be.
DO NOT FALL VICTIM to this nonsense.

This number called me and an operater answered telling me to call this number back. When I called back, a indian men picked up said my name and my address then when I asked what is this call regarding to he hanged up! That was really rude so I called again and this time he called me the B Word. I would like to report this number for disrespecting me for no reason! I actually want to sue!

they left a message for me earlier today and I tried calling back it is an IRS scam. when I called back he asked me for my phone number and I said why do you need my phone number and he hung up on me extremely rude but again it is a scam.
